Hello everyone! I’m Jarred Juett and I’d like to welcome you to BoldNewBlog.com. I started using this site actively in April, 2011 and have been blogging ever since. I was super excited to be able to secure the domain name, and I’m not giving it up.
So, what’s there to say about me? As far as my schooling goes, I graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a BA in Communication (Public Relations) in 2011, and am currently pursuing an MBA in Organizational Leadership from the same school. When you condense it all down, this means I love people, talking to people, building relationships with people, and (you guessed it) bossing people around at maximum efficiency. My family currently lives in Wisconsin, but I have family and an apartment here in Indianapolis. I’ve worked internationally in a contracting capacity in Ramallah, West Bank, and I’ve done lots of work with local non-profits through our on-campus PR firm, developing tactics running the gamut from social media frameworks to traditional press releases.
I’ve grown up all over the original half of the U.S., from Washington D.C., to Monroe, Louisiana, and almost everywhere in between. I’m a free spirit, a songwriter, a poet, a scholar, and a complete slob. I’ve traveled to most parts of the globe, whether it be working in the Middle East or exploring the great cathedrals of Western Europe. I’m a video game junkie, a social media lone wolf, and a inciter of change in the right direction.
You can hear my band The Sages play blues and classic rock around town, and I like to sneak off and croon in jazz clubs with my buddies back home in Wisconsin. I read classic novels, sci-fi and fantasy, historical non-fiction, and every sort of PR guide you’ve ever seen. I have a tooth for chocolate but hate chocolate milk, and I never apologize for anything (unless it’s worth apologizing for!) Oh, and I’m an Ultimate Frisbee nut, and helped found the UIndy Ultimate club where I serve as Director of Public Relations.
Hopefully that gives you a little taste of me! Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have (especially if you want to see my resume.)
